Great old jars, an inspired idea and a super purple wall.
Olivia Leigh says..."I love bangles, yes, I do...
...they're generally just relegated to a drawer of mine where I lose them and then it becomes a clutter fest. Matt and I found all of these old jars at a flea market in Buffalo Grove. They are in impeccable condition and look great.
I think we got five of them for $5, or else them plus some other random thing and a beautiful glass domed cake plate for $10.
I'm now using one for cotton balls in the bathroom, and one day realized that they might make the perfect bangle holder. And indeed, they do.
Separated into plastics and metals (i have far too many)"
We have two similar pyrex jars (although ours are shorter) - one for lipsticks and one that we use to store jewelry, just like Olivia. Ours aren't vintage - we picked them up about 10 years ago at Restoration Hardware. Over the years they have held vitamins, cotton balls and q-tips, a small seashell collection and now the everyday earrings and lipsticks.
We really like to see these close up details of readers places - it is all of these small items, organizing ideas and decorating decisions that make a house a home.
