Oltremare is a member of the Spring Cure. We've seen a little bit of her dining room, but we got really excited when we started to see her artwork popping up in Flickr. She's been using collages to keep a journal these past couple of months, and the results are definitely worth a look...
This portfolio reminded us of Maxwell's Drawing a Day project. It's a creative way to document one's life, and we love the way oltremare takes scraps from her home and makes them into a compelling story.

Yay oltremare!!!
I love it!
I thought I was the only person who did these! Mine are similar but with much less negative space and they get really cluttered (much like my house). I love yours and the openess of them. I guess my next question is do you keep art files or just compile from what's at hand?
Love these!
holy cow! that's me! thanks apartment therapy. I promise to post more pictures of my curing to my flickr someday, too! ;)
for renngrrl: if by "art files" you mean, "giant unruly piles of paper all over my floor", then yes. sometimes I just collage whatever scraps are on my desk into a page though, like the "messy desk" collage, above.
Back in art school, we were encourgaged to start an art clippings library. I still do this. No magazine is safe, it all gets clipped and filed >; ) My dream is to be able to paint an entire wall with magnetic paint and have a huge clippings wall for projects that can be taken down easily and put back up. We're getting ready to buy our first house and I promise to flickr the before and after of my studio.
