Built in 1967, Mies van der Rohe's Westmount Square stands tall at the east side of Montreal's Westmount neighborhood. In stark contrast to the surrounding historic masonry homes, the steel apartment towers are trademark Mies...

From the entrance lobbies with their fine stone cores to the dark steel structure, these three towers are Mies classics. Two of the Westmount Square towers are residential, a fact that's given away in the window treatments you see as you scan the facade.

More Mies in Montreal: Another apartment complex and a gas station on Nun's Island, built for the '67 Expo.
