When we talk about disliking carpet, which is often, we always like to offer a caveat: Sometimes carpet is a good flooring choice.
For instance, if you have young children, carpet is usually perfect for their bedroom or their playrooms. Carpet is soft and forgiving. If you have a new coloring book and NEED to color, wouldn't you rather flop down on a carpeted floor than a hardwood one?
Which brings us to our point: Although the pictures don't exactly sell this idea, we think the new Plush Wool Collection from FLOR would be great for kids. The color palette isn't as bright as we would like, but FLOR calls the tiles their "plushest and softest" carpet squares yet. FLOR also guarantees that they're easy to clean (something you don't usually get out of wool) and highly durable -- two more qualities that make them perfectly suited to handle rambunctious little ones.
And, as an additional benefit, when the kids can finally tolerate hard flooring, you can easily pull up these tiles and send them back to FLOR to be recycled.
