Design: Flow Storage Bed
Materials: Wood and Stone
Designer: Skip Fillippone
"I had just moved from my home in the mountains to live with my girlfirend in the valley and found myself missing the ever-present trees, lakes, streams and rivers. I could not find a design that was even close to good enough for us; so, I decided to build a bed that would provide a place of rest and tranquility for us both in our new home together, not to mention a bit of extra storage for our tiny place!"
VOTING IS NOW CLOSED ON THIS ENTRY

"The FLOW design was what naturally evolved out of our "different in a better way" convergence."

WAAAANT. Perfect Shaker sensibility with a practical component. Bravo. Now, can you hook a sister up? I really want to know where to buy one.
Lucky darned girlfriend!!
(Feng shui is in the mind of the beholder -- or something. Some feng shui principles reflect common sense, and many are silly. Sorry, but underbed storage in a small space is WAAAY more important than the "flow" of "chi".)(To me.)
This is art, not just design. I love it a lot!
That is an awsome bed! Talk about spoiled girlfriend
This is beautifully made. There are some things I would have done differently for myself, but I think it is totally awesome. The drawers are done well too. Usually storage beds look heavy, but this feels sleek and simple.
I would buy this bed in a second. I want it. It is great.
I want it
Dude, are you taking orders?
Love it!
I'd go bonkers for this bed- it's the only one I've liked more than my own.
If he starts producing them, I wonder if he'd offer to work in a person's own choice of rocks and stones?
Yes that is possible. I did this design as a coffee table for a friend of mine and arranged stones from their childhood home, current home and 2nd home, it worked beautifully.
gorgeous!
Elegant. Not forced. No tricks, just beautifully conceived and executed.
I am usually not fond of underbed storage, either, but this design, where there is still is room underneath the bed, looks great! Like other posters on this site, I'd like to buy this bed!
I have the perfect place in my bedroom for this. It would even fit with the dressers I already have had since 1964. OK, so I keep what I have as long as it's in good shape. That's why this bed would fit.
Love it. I've been looking for a bed like this for a while. Very thoughtful design.
This is very well done. I like the blend of stone and wood. It works so well and is well done. Not bulky at all. Rustic and sleek all at once. Smart space saver as well. Raw wood bed frames usually mean masculine. The tapered legs remedy this. Good job.
so nice!!
ps: fengshui lovers, theres a better choice, an evolution in design philosophy! Look into Wabi Sabi:
