Reporter: Tina Owner: Tina & Martin Location: Jersey City, NJ In Tina's words: My husband loves to build things. He decided to make this planter box for the front of our house: 1. to prevent trash from blowing into the front of our home; 2. to conceal the garbage can and recyling bins; 3. and to add some much needed greenery to our front "yard"...

I think this planterbox is lovely, not only because my husband made it, but because of its simple form and hearty greenery. Dear Tina, Your husband is a very handy guy. The trash concealment makes it look as if the shrubbery is growing from the trash! And we love the fact that he used a simple palette to bring some staggered height to the arrangement of pots. These are both good solutions. We have a little gift in the mail to you: a pot from Ecoforms and seed packets from SelectSeeds.com to help make your gardens grow. Enjoy!
