We love to periodically check in with Joel Henriques to see what he's been up to. We always find something wonderful, creative, and kid-friendly that inspires us. Not only is this project adorable, but something about the idea of a man making a flower building toy for his daughter warms the cockles of our hearts.

If you're not too sure about cutting and drilling wood, we bet you could create a version out of foam or cardstock. But that wood is so beautiful, maybe now is the time to get handy with the woodworking tools! See more pictures here and be sure to add Made by Joel to your blogroll if you haven't already.

And am I the only one who gets annoyed when great ideas don't automatically translate into etsy shops? I want to buy it!
