Flying the Friendly Skies in Jett's Room

My Room

Name: Jett (3)
Location: South Jordan, Utah

I wanted a space that was age appropriate for a 3-year-old. I also wanted to steer clear of any "themes" and just create a room that felt youthful and fun. This room is teeny tiny so my biggest challenge was to edit edit edit!

I tried to keep things clean and only include items that really needed to be in the room. I created toy storage by finding some fun nesting baskets. To create the illusion of more space I hung clear shelves on the wall for books.

My husband is a pilot so I wanted to play off of that. He took pictures of clouds from the cockpit as he was flying and we blew them up and framed them. I also painted the insides of plain IKEA frames red to add a custom feel. The custom made headboard is really the star of the room. This was by far the biggest splurge but totally worth it!

Thanks, Kirsten! Readers, visit Kirsten at 6th Street Design School. For fun, take a look at Jett's nursery.
