Thanks for this post. I just started a blog dedicated to quality items made in the USA. This is a great movement for consumers and it's nice to see that it's getting good press. I'd love to see more discussion here on Apartment Therapy/Kitchn/etc.
Just bought a dishwasher made in USA so now I'm feeling very smug. Please let me add G. Scatchard Lamps handmade pottery lamps from Vermont which can be customized in color, sheen and shape which control the look for country or contemporary. I find the tall rounded shape extremely sensuous.
I'm done with Chinese *&^ stuff.
I returned a pair of shoes that made my whole house smell like gasoline, made in China from who knows what materials.
We really should be all aware of these products that break down anyway very soon after you buy them .
Made in USA we want!
We purchased our bedroom furniture a few years ago from Vermont Woods. Yes, it was a major splurge. It was the first brand new bedroom furniture either DH or I had ever owned. It's truly beautiful and I'm glad we love it - because it's built to last forever!
i like how the guy in the picture is wearing a Manchester United jersey while the post is about american made products
