Soft, colorful AND modern. If you are looking for great pillows for your couch or a bedspread that isn't boring or froofy, Fold Bedding is a great find. We found them at ICFF and they are not sold a great deal in the East yet, but we don't see why it won't be long before they are.

The owners and designers, Max and Linda Geiser, started their company in 2000 in southern, California, and have been slowly building their product line to include pillows, bedspreads, blankets (in wool & linen) and a relief wall decoration called Walter, that acts like a 3-d wall paper.

We think that modern accessories, which bear patterns generated by a computer are for crap. We don't like the heavyweight in this category, Dwell Bedding, for this very reason, and have had clients say what we say, which is that Dwell is...

...too rigid and masculine. Fold combines the minimal, clean lines of a modern sensibility with rich color and an organic understanding of shape. No one that we know of is doing what Fold is doing this well.

But good things come at a price, and Fold is not cheap. Pillows run around $140 and bedspreads around $500. This is modern luxury. MGR
