Have you ever heard that quote by Albert Camus that goes like this? "In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." Well, my inner invincible summer is in deep hibernation right now so I needed to ogle some kind of spring harbinger (Trust me, I know it's way too early for winter burnout.)
This hip little birdhouse is a delightful material reminder that spring will come again. I've written before about my quest for the perfect birdhouse. I never did find it. This metal, flat pack bird house from the Museum of Modern Arts Store is definitely a contender. But at $50 (for MoMA Store non-members, $45 for members) I'll need to be sure that the neighborhood birds and I both really dig it.

I think it's adorable--but maybe more of a feeder or perch than real shelter. And that Camus quote has long been one of my absolute favorites. <3
I live in southern Minnesota. That means blizzards and prairie winds. This wouldn't last two minutes. Also, it doesn't look like a birdhouse, but rather a bird feeder. And $50?
I think it's a charming bird feeder. And as a fellow Bostonian, I think it will hold up just fine in our neck of the woods.
It's definitely adorable, but it's also definitely a bird feeder and not a birdhouse.
