We never would have guessed that this new Clip Chair from Moooi folded flat for storage! A technical feat that explains the high pricetag, the folding mechanism sets it apart from the similarly-shaped Bamboo Basket Chair we posted earlier this week...

Designed for indoor use, the Clip Chair is available in solid beech with a white, black or wenge finish. UnicaHome sells the Clip Chair for $1,140. Via: notcot.org.

While it looks cool and makes a statement, I highly doubt its comfortable.
Beautiful chair but I agree, looks like those front slats might dig into your legs in an uncomfortable way.
I'll third that. definitely an object in space, not a object to sit on and enjoy my space.
that is BY FAR the MOST BEAUTIFUL folding chair ever made!!!!
Looks very cool and very uncomfortable. Also it really doesn't look like indoor furniture.
Wow, there's some nostalgia! I used to have a chair exactly like that when I was a wee one. Our babysitter had a slew of them, and my parents ended up buying one for each of us to take on camping trips. They were quite comfortable. They didn't offer much back support, but you could really sink into them. I remember finding mine to be pretty cozy when I was 7 years old. ;)
Wait, am I reading that right? Are they charging $1,140 for that chair??? Ours were *maybe* $5-$10 back in the day. Mind you they came in a natural wood color, but could have easily been painted, I'm sure. A thousand dollars for a folding chair. Yeesh!
I don't think this chair looks uncomfortable... beautiful and smart.
