A contemporary classic. This poster (designed by Tracy Jenkins for Village in 2004) may not seem like a design for the ages, but just like the slang word it spoofs, we think the "For Like Ever" poster is here to stay. My husband gave this to me for our first anniversary (the paper year). It was so appropriate, I had to give him props for his genius. The folks at Village may have had the same idea. Their product blurb reads: "In a way it was meant to be a love letter to each other and a celebration of the exciting and scary prospect of a new beginning." Over the last few years, this image has infiltrated magazines and design blogs everywhere. It's a fresh twist on a classic theme, with the same combination of sweetness and edge that we see in Robert Indiana's Love sculpture. "For Like Ever" posters, T-Shirts, totes and more can be purchased online at Village.
