Nearly a decade into the career of Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek, his sustainable, salvaged furniture pieces are finally available stateside. David Alhadeff, owner of Brooklyn's The Future Perfect, began wooing Mr. Eek eight years ago, convinced that the designer's "deceptively simple" materials and forms would be appreciated by American consumers. His wooing paid off, and now The Future Perfect offers a variety of pieces from Mr. Eek's furniture line, including dining and coffee tables, chairs, cabinets, stools, and scrap-wood wastebaskets.
