Even though it's old news, we still have trouble visualizing a world without Polaroids. It just seems, well, wrong that the company's going to stop making the instant film. But as the day draws closer, Jen Altman's gathered together 25 photographers from 10 countries, and created a limited edition book of their Polaroid images.

When will they stop making the film? I bought two packs of 10 that I intend to use soon, but I wonder if I should get a few more!
Be careful on stocking up on Polaroid film. Unlike standard 35mm you cannot store them for long periods of time because the battery that makes it work will die.
Some of the batteryless older film styles (colorpack film for the 100, 200, 300, and 400 series) may stand up better to storage because the battery is in the camera, not the film, but the standard polaroid film for the sx-70, the 600, and the spectra all have internal filmpack batteries and will die at the stated expiration date.
