Adding color to an interior door is a great, manageable project that can yield impressive — and fun — results. It can elevate a regular hollow core door or make an already solid door look extra fancy (check out Miles Redd's green leather doors in Image 8). Painting a pocket door, as in Image 5, is a great way to get a periodic shock of color. In small spaces, such as the studio in Image 6, painting the door the same color as the walls makes the room feel bigger because it's less visually broken up.
Is this a design dare you'd consider taking?

Shaw's Original Fir...
I like that. Are doors hard to paint? I would sooo do that in my next apartment! Great way to add color without going overboard!
Love it ~ Bring our the bright and bold color!!
I love that one panel door with the inserted wallpaper (or whatever it is...) I guess I'm boring, though, I count on my interior doors being white to match the rest of the trim. Plus most of my actual doors are either closets or bedrooms off a hallway, where nothing much would be gained by decorating them...
Those citron yellow doors are gorgeous. I'd love to paint the back of the front door to my apt. that color but the door itself isn't so interesting so I'm not sure I want to draw attention to it. I feel like a door needs molding or panels to wear a color like that, and the door I have in mind is just a flat slab.
Also loving the pink and yellow door, which reminds me of a nautical flag. Great idea.
The citron yellow doors are incredible. If I had doors like that, I'd do the same. Very sophisticated.
The first pic is one of my favourites as well. and it opens up to such a beautiful room full of books.
