Growing up in the Midwest, hunting, fishing, and showing off your latest catch were all part of a regular day's work. And although taxidermy wasn't uncommon, I still attest it's creepy. Keep the cool and ditch the cruel and check out these chainsaw-carved versions instead!

As much as I'd like to say that these are weird and rather bizarre, once you take them off the boat and put them in a clean modern space, they instantly feel hipster-ish in all the right ways. Think of them as the eco-friendly fish you never caught!

Each one was handcarved via chainsaw (how manly-cool is that?) from Etsy artist oceanarts10, better known as Todd Lynd. He's recreated his share of birds, mammals and fish all out of wood. If you don't see something you like, he's likely the type to take requests for your perfect piece. Want a hot pink painted porcupine? He's your man!

Check out all the animals currently in his shop and see if any of them would look swimmingly in your home!
