We have a soft spot for cats doing stupid things. We can't help it, we really can't. We can try to tell you we like to make clean and modern places for our pets to lounge all day long, but when it comes right down to it our 6yr old self gets the better of us and we start contemplating things like this. Life doesn't always have to be serious right? Pricing after the jump...
Each play house comes flat packed from Thinkgeek for $24.99. We don't have to be serious all the time right?
If you don't have a cat, you could always use them for a plant stand. How great would your fern look growing out of the top of a firetruck? Or maybe it's just us...

Put. The. LOLcats. Down. Slowly.
oh man, my fatcat is totally the tank. yep, and skinny cat is so top gun! i'm sold.
You know that TankCat is up to nooooo good. There's an ankle biting in someone's future...
Too cute.
my cats would probably ignore it and go sit in front of the TV (making watching the TV impossible like they usually do). but the pictures are funny.
I love the fire truck. My cat probably wouldn't be that interested in these, though. There seems to be some kind of cat rule that decrees that the elaborate and/or pricey toys are the ones that are the least interesting, while stuff like plain old cardboard boxes and open suitcases are fascinating. That said, he's kind of old and set in his ways. I bet kittens would have a field day with these things.
I think with my cats I would have had to have had this when they were kittens. The cheap way for me to go now is just put a open box on the floor.
I love the tank. And it would be a cool plant stand if it weren't made of cardboard and would fall to pieces after a few watering sessions (I'm messy).
Also a tip, I bought my cat a bed/scratching post and she avoided it for weeks, until I rubbed a little cat nip on it.
Now it is her favorite place to sleep, and my arm chair is a little safer.
I do love the models and idea.
Nope. I'm not impressed and my cats would hate them.
Yet another chance to spoil our darlings.
The candidates on the British series of the Apprentice had to sell these models to petshops a few weeks ago. No one bought any.
Oh, these are so cute. I want one for my rabbit. But I'm not crazy about the idea of a $25 chew toy...
My cat wouldn't look twice and my bull terrier would try and fit into it - oh the madness...
It would be peed in, promptly. Yes it would.
They're adorable but it's kind of hard to think of spending that kind of money on a cat in a recession. Hey, I'm in favor of treating cats well, but there are thousands of humans living in cars and tent cities.
I can't get those middle-aged women in California who have jobs, go to work, and come home -- to a car -- out of my mind. My God, when people don't have bathrooms or a method to cook food, it's a little warped to spend money on expensive cat toys.
AustinSarah, I suppose someone gets paid for making them and they could be making something much worse.
Since when is $25 for a cat toy a lot of money? If anything, this is one of the least expensive items I've seen posted on AT.
Saying its warped to spend money on a cat toy when there are people in the world who live out of their cars is a lot like saying, "you should finish your food because there are starving people in the world". If you finish your food it doesn't make the hungry people any less hungry. Not buying one of these cat toys won't help impoverished people either. Not unless you take the $25 you would have spent on the cat toy and give it to a good cause instead.
I have to say im guilty of buying the cheap bread at the store but buy the cute more expensive cat toys. In my opinion, watching my cat have a lot of fun makes me more happy than buying better groceries. Shes my little sunshine and sometimes is the only way to make me smile when Im having a bad day.
I got a toy at mythreecats.com - fling ama string... so fricken funny -i dont know who gets more enjoyment out of it.
i'm thinking of making one out of an old 12 beer box. my cat loves boxes, bags, tiny holes, cabinets...anything he can hide in when he gets into trouble
