We have a serious love for good old snail mail — especially when it's delivered straight to your play room! This great mailbox mod has been a hit so far and after the jump we'll show you how to make one for yourself!
We ran across this great little mail delivery system over at I Am Momma Hear Me Roar. A regular mailbox was cut in half and supported by a cut-to-fit wooden block in the back. Once in, all that was left was to attach it to the wall.
They are already using the mailbox for letters from friends and family and it's been rumored that it could be where the Tooth Fairy might make an appearance as well. If you're not into taking time to write out letters, a shortened mailbox like this could also be used for the storage of art supplies, shoes or even rogue stuffed animals, especially when there's more than one!

mailbox is great - but what about that apple tree!? fantastic!
This is awesome! Snail mail is quickly disappearing but it is still the best feeling to receive letters in the mail. Great Idea!

I love that, but my kids would hang on it and try to climb on it and as a result it probably wouldn't last the weekend. Alas, it is adorable.
