Key points come to mind when you take a look at this dna-inspired closet system. It's portable, vertical, efficient and kind of cool to look at — all of which are good things in our book...
The curvy shape allows as many hangers and clothes to fit into one space as possible. We like the idea of it taking up very little floor space and actually holds the ability to slide right into one of those super tiny closets that landlords seem to think can actually hold a whole wardrobe. Just pull it out, or leave it out in the open and it will be quite the conversation piece!

Um, It's not a closet - or even a closet system.
It's a clothes rack.
.....and since it appears to be a left-handed helix, it doesn't represent DNA either.

I think it looks cool only because there are only a few things hanging on it, in real-life, and full of clothes, it would probably look like a mess.
looks rather like it's taking up unnecessary space. Awkward shape, even more so when the clothes are hung on it. I certainly would not leave it out and call it a conversation piece.
Only in a boutique where a few attractive pieces could be artfully displayed on it. The shape would be completely lost under a pile of clothes. I'd think a good designer would take that into account.
I don't know if I'd display it, but it seems like it would be practical for extra storage in a closet. Also for as a rack for drying clothes--but I'm guessing the price point would be too high to use it for that.
I'll give them some points for trying, but I think this works better as sculpture than it does as a functional piece.
It really bothers me that the twist is backwards. As mike said, it should be right-handed to represent DNA. If it was done right, I think I would like it as a sculptural piece.

I don't what most of you are talking about. It's clothing storage! Stop splitting hairs over what it's called and pray it's sturdy! I would ask "Where the hell can I get one," but it's probably worth more than my car...
