Lately, I've been very attracted to rustic, wood furniture — stuff with texture, weight and good strong grain. I'm craving a country house filled with raw wood, a roaring fire and doors that open out onto rolling fields…or a lake. And fur rugs and dogs…
In the meantime, here are the really stunning wood objects that have caught my eye and got me going down this aspirational road. From High Point to Houston Street to Donald Judd, here's some great stuff.
>> Babka Wood Table at Bobo in High Point - This big mama table was not that expensive and looked a hundred years old. It's brand new, made by Bobo in Europe.
>> Dining Tables at The Judd Foundation - I took these pics this morning, walking by the Judd Foundation building on Spring Street. Usually empty, these amazing tables fill the space with life and are a reminder that Judd's furniture (built for himself) was remarkable. They are still being built for sale.
>> Round Coffee Table from Artesia Collections - Spotted at High Point, this table stood out from everything around it. I love the simple, modern all wood design.
