We are loving the use of texture in the new Ami seating by designer Francesco Rota. In this collection for Paola Lenti, Rota plays with extreme scale and texture with the arms and backs of these sofas and armchairs...

What do you think?

I'm not in love with the purple but that charcoal grey looks nice and I can see it being very lovely in a greige, a cream, and a yummy chocolate brown.
I love the purple/fuschia color on those chairs...
I love the color but I'd never be able to live with it. I really like the depth of seat in the second picture.
They kind of remind me of those weaving-loom potholders kids make at camp (or at least they used to 25 years ago!), but I dig 'em.
I'm with atlantadesigner on this. Everything does not need to be cranked up to 10 on the design dial. They would work better in muted tones to offset the bold texture. Love that dark gray. Crazy bright colors make the whole thing come off as a bit juvenile and desperate for attention.
And in a bold trend color, these pieces would age like a banana.
sorry, but as a contract designer, it's a huge dustcatcher! In 2 years time every little crack and crevice will be filled with dust!
ahhhh chhhoooooo
