- Inspiration for my palette:
- I kept it simple and light for the living area because I wanted to accentuate the hight of the ceilings. The original parquetry floor (the building is from 1892) accentuates the contrast. For the rest of the flat we used different shades of purple but wanted a light living area because there isn't a lot of natural light.
- Colors used in my room
- Very soft lilac and kept the ceiling and doors white.
- Tips for using color successfully
- For a living space, keep it simple, you can add splashes of colour with decorative items or even lampshades, flowers and plants.

- Soft Touch

Room for Color
That room looks really comfortable, and the perfect place for a little TV or reading. But what's with the table lamp so far down?
Cool tap lamp.
House tour!!
What is the color in the bedroom?
Ditto! This place looks so relaxing.
Love that tap lamp! Where is it from?
Making the most of this beautiful space.
Very beautiful room. Love the organic touches. I'd love to see a whole house tour!
Your paint colors are lovely and look great with the natural decorations like the wood and berries.
Where is this in Budapest? I lived there for 4 months & by far one of my favorite cities in the world!
Hi and thank you! It's from a small antique shop in Antwerp, Belgium called Loft Styles.
They recycle lots of stuff and turn each item into a unique object, lamp, candle holder etc.
Hi 20somethingrenter, Budapest is a great city isn't it! I love living here, we're in the 6th district, close to the Basilica.
stunning!
I love the space but it's almost 'color free'.
The faceless portraits are creepy. Great light colors though!
For a room with such soft/ light colors it sure is cozy looking. Love it.
I am all about black and darkness but this room is lovely. Very beautiful!
Great area! I lived in the 11th district in the Karoli Gaspar student housing.
The bedroom is so soft and pretty. What color is it?
Hi Bejeweled, I'm afraid all the colors just have color codes so no real names and are from a Hungarian brand called Héra. One bedroom (with the silver mirror and wallpaper) is a very soft pink with a combination of purple flowery wallpaper stipes next to the bed, you can see the edges next to the door. The other room has 2 different reddish shades of purple. I can look it up for you if you'd like, the paint cans are in the basement :-)
Really a very nice place to stay!
