Frank Buchwald's series of beautifully crafted lights look like they were lifted right off the set of a movie like Dark City or one of the Hellboy films. If visible filaments, coils and other industrial elements are things you find pleasing to the eye, the Machine Light series is right up your alley. Buchwald's Machine Lights series is comprises 12 different models produced in low volume production, with each object handmade from up to 200 individual parts, and can custom design lights can be ordered upon request...

The voltage is 230V (110V with voltage converter). Electricity flows through visible wires made of black and yellow textile cables and sometimes encased in flexible brass tubes.
Effective special bulbs and light tubes with partially visible filaments or yellow surface evaporation allow the Machine Lights to glow mysteriously.

The low volume production takes place in Berlin and requires a manufacture time of 4 weeks and more depending of the model.

Those interested in ordering one of these unique lamps can place an order via Frank Buchwald's site.
