I'm so happy to see this post! I have a similar style of blanket from Morocco and I have NO IDEA how to clean it. To dry clean or not to dry clean, that is the question! Anyone have any insights?

But this kind of blankets are typical of all South America, not just Bolivia and the name is frazada, with a "z"

"Frazada" is actually the Spanish word for "blanket," be it Bolivian, South American, or from anywhere else.
