Remember the "Google Me" business cards from a little while back? Displaying only a screenshot of the famous search engine's logo and the search box with your name already "typed" in, these cards were completely analog. The idea is that the people you hand this card to will Google your name to get your contact info. It's easy enough to produce your own, but why not pick up a set of personalized "Google Me" cards for free from the giant itself...
In conjunction with Google's new Google Profiles, it is giving away sets of 25 business cards for free to the first 10,000 people who order them.
If you don't already know, Google launched Google Profile as a way to control how you show up in their search engine. You can create a profile (at Google.com/profiles/me) and include all of the contact info you deem necessary, a short bio and any links to social network pages or blogs, assured that the Google Profile will always be near the top of the search (depending on how common your name is).
To order your free cards, sign into your profile and look for an "Order Profile Business Cards" link. The offer is only available to U.S. customers, so be sure you've entered your full address.
Oh, and you might need to enter a whole lot more information before you see the link pop up: People have been having some trouble ordering until they enter every detail they can. We're thinking Google is using the offer as a way to really build a strong, solid base to Google Profiles. after all, a network's worth is based on it's number of members.
