Love the site!
I could picture the Syphilis poster in my bathroom.

These are great! Thanks for sharing!
These are fun. Number seven reminds me of this one, from the Echo Park Time Travel Mart (sales benefit literacy programs):

What a great site! That's for the resource, can't want to browse :)
I got a virus alert when downloading one of the posters so mind how you go.
Nope, wait. John's eyesight is just fine. Looks like he really is a dull boy.
The best Olympic sport...curling!

Ha! I'm set to visit Chicago, and I'm sorely tempted to send out the Chicago syphillis poster to the crew traveling. Just for peace of mind, of course.
Wow! It sounds too good to be true.... I went to the site, and no mention of copywrights. As an artist, I'm curious if the posters are copywright-free. Also can someone recomend a printing service?
Probably most of these images are originally available from the Library of Congress. Check out loc.gov to see more great stuff like this. They usually list if there are any known copyright issues. You have various (virus free!) options for downloading images. You can lose hours looking! I blogged about the image I printed for my kitchen: https://1500sqft.com/2013/02/05/tuesdays-tiny-project-8/
John's just tired over his mother always looking over his shoulder and browbeating him. His eyesight's just fine, but acting like it's not is his only defense.
Love it.
This is so cool! Thanks for the resource!
@Kate
Thanks for the info. I actually went to your blog and left couple of hints.... A inexpensive way to hang unframed artwork (it is used by starting artists, that cannot invest in framing their artwork for gallery shows) is binder clips. Now the trick is to fold a piece of a index card in a V and slide where the clip will hold. No dents!
I'm still looking for a printing service. Kinko used to be great, with large sizes and cardstock.... now Fedex-Kinko, not so much.
Thank you so much for this post. I'm browing back as I prepare to move from a 4-bedroom rental house w/ entirely too many problems to a 2-bedroom, 980 sq ft apartment with great facilities. I'm determined to actually decorate this time, and this gave me the jolt I needed. I am definitely going to use the Art Deco style travel posters and mix in some Art Deco style mock travel posters for various cities from the DC comics world (thing Metropolis from Superman and Coast City from Green Lantern). I love that it will all work together and it gives me a way to geek out my decorating a little!
