Q: Hi there, we live in a stucco home in San Francisco built in 1938. We're looking to repaint the exterior and are looking for some fresh inspiration - a modern look that will last. It's currently a warm gray and dark khaki color and we're looking to lighten things up. Can you recommend any sites to peruse for home exterior ideas?
The design is pretty simple: It's an A-frame roof atop two garage doors. Any guidance you can provide would be much appreciated.

My suggestion is here.
I like what I find on crestviewdoors.com. Though their focus is entry doors, I love seeing all the vintage-style homes that use them.
Without a photo of your house it's impossible to guess what would look right. Is your house a Mediterranean, or Deco or ??? I tend to think that stucco should be an earth tone in SF. Those candy colors that work in the Bahamas don't look right in our foggy light. Take a look at the color brochures at Benjamin Moore, they have some unusual combinations that look very modern.
I have to wonder if there are so few responses because the people who always respond with "Pale grey!" have nothing to say here ;)
Is that photo your home?! If it is, I will colour block it in red, blue and yellow with black outlines, a Piet Mondrian inspired look :)
