What makes us here at AT: Nursery such fans of dollhouses? They provided us our first chance to appreciate architecture and design of our "homes." Take a look at this homemade beauty - it's Frida Kahlo's Studio.

It's the creation of the talented Elsa Mora for her daughter because she wanted her to learn about the artist Frida Kahlo.

The Kahlo studio took months to create. Look at those details!
(Great job, Elsa!)

What a fun (& educational) project!
Too cute! This is inspiring me to make a Bedroom at Arles doll house
What an amazing gift and act of love! Thanks for posting about this. It's inspiring, to say the least, to see a parent devote so much time making this educational yet beautiful "toy."
It's adorable, but it's not built from scratch. That's a Greenleaf Sugarplum kit, and it would have been gracious of the artist to acknowledge that.
Oh how I love this!!!
This is one very beautiful, creative and exquisite dollhouse. I am so happy to know that children want to know about my favorite artist Frida Kahlo, whom I have been studying for over 15 years. I love it and want to live in it. Keep up the good work and I do hope your daughter just loves it. She must. How could she not?
This is beautiful. I wish I had one.
Hello!
I'm the artist that built this little house and I want (as wende in the twin cities suggested above :) to add the correct information about the kit, the one that she provided is wrong:
I built this house out of a kit that I got from www.Miniatures.com called Sugarplum. They have a variety of kits as you will see. The owner's site is the most friendly person ever and his name is Ernie. My interest in miniatures was 100% inspired by Ernie's own passion for all things small. This Frida Kahlo studio participated in a contest that the same site has every year and it won an honorable mention :) Yay!!
