no round tables?
The Reunion dining table from CB2 is actually only $199 now, which is pretty amazing considering what a nice piece it is. My boyfriend and I bought it about four months ago and are really happy with the purchase.
mynyapt - I gave you an OCTAGON though!
sorry, i had the price wrong on the CB2 table...it is now correct
I'm more interested in the wall of candles in the before the jump picture than any of the tables. I have a wall I'd love to do like that.
I recommend bargain seekers check out the Brocade Home web site. OK, you may not be into laser cut neo-Baroque (I'm not either). But there are some great bargains on the web site. There's an exquisite and unusual wall paper on sale called Black Foulard. You don't often see such a nice use of pattern and space in a wall paper. There are simple, heavy-weight towels in various colors on sale for $7.00 each. There are also muted sheer silk window panels on sale at rock bottom prices. If you want to let in light but maintain privacy, these would be excellent. There are also nice throw pillows at $19 each. If you're looking for inexpensive Christmas presents, they have geometric cut blue glass vials that look quite modern on sale.
Happy hunting!
I also got the reunion table about 4 months ago, It is a very nice piece!
Wait, Brocade Home is back now? I thought the site shut down and there were so many complaints.
Aaron:
...but your octagon only seats four!
stephie_is_a_dork - an octagon is an octagon no matter how many people can sit at it. From your logic, a round table is only supposed to sit 1?
Technically the shape is an octagon, but not a regular octagon like a stop sign. It is really a square table with slightly clipped corners and extra legs to get in the way. I'm sure Brocade Home's buyer saw something in the design that I missed.
I bought the CB2 Reunion table about a year ago. It didn't take long for it to get really scratched up (and I'm not hard on it at all.) For $199 it may not matter as much, but I wish I had spent a bit more money on something of better quality.
Obviously not, but what's the point of 8 sides if you can only sit at 4 of them? While technically an octagon, for practical purposes it's basically a square with the corners clipped. Not really cool enough to use as a defense with mynyapt.
Be warned though about Brocade home. We ordered the petit silouette bed from them at an awesome price. Three weeks later, only half of it arrived even though it said there was only one package to be shipped. Apparently, there were two and we had to wait two months to get the other one. Try explaining that to a four year old princess who got her hopes all up when she thought her bed had arrived. She's still recovering! Customer service was barely helpful. They were actually shocked we had recieved the first package so 'quickly'! So be prepared for a lengthy wait for your items!
