This one's come at just the right time for our family. Soon we will move to a new house, complete with acreage and a pond, but the pond is in need of some loving care. From fish to frogs, we're in the throes of researching pond ecosystems. So I'm kicking myself I didn't think of this first.
The children can learn along with us with their very own play pond. That's what this mother from One Perfect Day did with her frog-loving son. He brings the outside in by gathering sticks and pebbles from the yard and makes a day of it. Mom explains it's great for story-telling, fostering language, fine-motor skills, personal interests, and of course the imagination.

This would be great to take on trips or to doctors appointments!
I love it! What a fun and easy idea.
Thank you so much for featuring our frog pond play scene! My son loves this and it's so versatile - we can add different elements here and there and create a completely different scene each time we pull it out.
Such a simple and clever activity, very portable so you can roll it up and take it with you on the go!
