It's an LED that looks like an incandescent bulb and fits into your average light bulb socket.
The only question we have is: Why isn't this product already available in stores? (We're impatient green consumers.)
We love the idea behind the frogLight by Frog Design. It's an LED and, as most people know, LEDs are awesome -- they have as much energy-saving potential as a CFL but no nasty ingredients (read: mercury). LEDs also lack the blue-ish tint so many people dislike in CFLs.
But, the main reason we like this frogLight? Its design. It's totally accessible. We think the fact that it looks like an incandescent and functions like one will make it much more easily acceptable to mainstream consumers than CFLs or other LEDs. Oh, and one last thing: The bulb should last 30 years.
Frog Design is currently in talks with manufacturers about how to bring the frogLight to market.
Now, if they can just manage to keep the price reasonable...
