Lotte's daddy filmed her every week for the first 12 years of her life. He's edited it all down to a 2 minute and 45 second montage where you can watch her blossom from baby to tween, just like that.
From spit up, to sprouting teeth, to tears, it's all there. We thought we were pretty clever videoing our little guy for 10 seconds each day of his first year so that we now have a 1 hour video that we torture our family with once in awhile. But the commitment to this 12 year project takes it a whole other level — that we admire greatly.

Nomade Express Slee...
I agree with JasmineisDomestic. However, it is pretty awesome. A person could do this without sharing it online and it'd be fun for the child when they're older to have it. I hope he continues filming and maybe she'll have a 3 minute video of her til she's 18! She seems very chatty and vocal in each little clip, haha.
I loved it. Probably because I am a woman of a certain age.
Kinda creepy to share this with so many strangers. Decided not to watch it myself.
It brought tears in my eyes. 12 years in 3 minutes.
I loved it!!! Thanks for sharing!!! It's absolutely beautiful.
You people are so old, this is the new now.
I think she will probably love and appreciate it, probably already does.
From an artistic view this would have been even better if she weren't talking in the videos the entire time. That was distracting, as I was focusing on how cool it is to see how the face features change over time.
Touching. Reminds me of a great John Leguizamo quote: "With children, the days are long but the years are short"...
This is awesome.
I'm sure the video is amazing and what a family treasure! Kudos to Lotte's daddy for his investment of love..
That said, I find the ever increasing lack of privacy disturbing. It may well be the "new now" but that doesn't make it sound. Sharing things like this with the www takes voyeruism to another level.
As a mom, I'm reminded that their childhood passes so quickly. Not in 3 minutes, though it often feels that way . . .
Awesome!
Beautiful. I don't find it obsessive or wrong to share. It's just her face/head. It's a fascinating project to be so disciplined and put something like this together! I'd rather criticize the parents who are apathetic at best or abusive at worst. Either people are "too obsessed" or "creepy" or they are "too complacent." Nothing will ever be good enough! sigh.
I love it! I agree with Dariac! It brought tears to my eyes thinking about my own three (now adult) children. I would love to have something like this of them, but the technology wasn't there in 1987, 1989 and 1993.
I didn't find it weird or creepy at all. It's sweet. I also liked seeing her talking through the whole thing, because she's probably a talker, which makes it even more cute.
It's beautiful, no question. But giving it away seems wrong somehow.
Wow, what dedication! It's a sweet tribute to his daughter that she will appreciate even more when she's older. It was cute to see her hairstyles change so much when she became a tween.
My goodness people everyone on AP are getting negative. Its art, something that should be shared.
I think it's beautiful.
This is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long time...
Reminding us again, it's the simple things in life, that mean the most to us. Beautifully done. Your blessed. Thanks for sharing.
So neat! Definitely a lot of time and effort that turned out to be something to be cherished. You almost forget how much they've changed until you look back at old video/photos and this captures that perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
This is such a lovely video - what a dedicated parent! Lucky Lotte :)
What exactly is creepy about this? Some people here need to re-prioritise their lives, or go and find a worthwhile cause for their complaining. He is not the first to document a child's life and show that documentation, and he certainly won't be the last.
Love the hair in the first two years! And how he must've got a new camera when she was 10 ;)
Lovely... and it does feel like a blink of an eye for my baby girl to become 13. Life is precious, and treasure every moment.
I especially love the mouth - all the ideas and thoughts this young lady is sharing. Thanks.
Loved it. What a dedicated father.
My wife and I are getting ready to have twin boys in the next couple weeks, and I take this video as a beautiful reminder to capture the many intervals of childhood in video and photos. I'm inspired.
that is fantastic. i love it how she seems to be talking nonstop for a time :-D
i think he is sharing his love and his wonder at watching his daughter grow up, cannot see any wrong in it when it is done like this.
I think we should also keep in mind that this father is a filmmaker. So, to me, it makes total sense that he would share his video project publicly. And I for one, am happy he did. I see it as a beautiful document of some of the wonders of childhood (and parenthood). But it doesn't make me feel like I have to do the same and share it publicly also.
I love this, and I wish I had the skills and dedication to put something like this together for my kids. I don't see what's creepy about it (if this is creepy, I guess allowing any kid to be in the public eye is creepy, from young tv/movie stars to models to gymnasts to musicians, etc.). It's just the girl's face, no details about her life, etc.--I can't see what the big deal is. It's just amazing to see how a tiny sweet baby turns into a sweet big girl so fast--brings tears to my eyes, too.
I was fascinated, but it was a bit frenetic feeling with the high speed up chattering of the child. (Was there sound? I don't have speakers at work...)
It would have been cool to have stills, too -- maybe even with morphing software from image to image. This video would be a great resource for dollmakers and others who need to know how the head and face change throughout childhood years.
SO sweet. I love the effect of her talking versus the typical photo morph.
I'm grateful he shared this. Sometimes I need a reminder to focus on what's really important.
It was a bit too jerky and my eyes started to cross at about age 7 so I had to stop watching. But I thought it was a funny, lighthearted way to document a connection between this father and daughter. Except for the early nose picking - poor Lotte will be so embarrassed about that late on! :)
He also did a video of his son from birth to 9yrs. I didn't find either of them creepy.

@ jackieatweelife: Excellent point. I don't doubt it's beautiful and heartwarming, and as I mentioned a family treasure. . Oh *sheesh* you're crumbling my defenses...now I really want to watch it....argh!
I found myself trying not to blink so that I would not miss a moment. I don't have any children yet but it's a lesson to me to appreciate every moment when I do have them.
What a lovely thing for a parent to do for such a lovely child. Art is beauty, beauty is art.
What a beautiful and special thing to do for one's child :-) It's amazing to dedicate that much time to a project and is such a special gift that only she will have!!
