Finding a place for all your techno gadgets (cel phone, PDA, MP3 player, etc...) can be a challenge. One is by the bed, another on your desk, one by the door, etc... And It's especially hard, if your decor tastes don't exactly sit well with futuristic minimalism. The people at Frontgate have come up with a beautiful solution that combines all your needs in one place, and adds a little warmth along the way. This Mahagony Charging Station comes with a built in surge protector that provides power to as many as four electronic devices. There's even drawers that can hold knick knacks, attatchments, or even manuals.

hmmm, i think i'm going to have to consider this for my landing strip...
it would be really easy to DIY this with something from the container store or ikea, if you're into neither the 'manly classic mahogany' nor the 'white box minimalist' looks.
I made one from a wooden bread box.Get one or two power strips, make a hole in the back for the strips cords to go through. Fasten the strip to the back or bottom of the bread box. That's basically it. When you have to charge something, it hides inside along with the cords. I left mine with the wood finish, but you could always paint or decorate it. Mine looks fine as it is to me. Much less than $199 !!!
