If you are anything like us, your family's ice cream quotient can go up substanitally in the hot summer months if you're not careful. That's why this healthy grab-and-go frozen treat idea really caught our attention — more fruit, less ice cream — now that's a good idea.
Sure we've enjoyed frozen grapes before but why didn't we think of impaling on a stick so the kids can just grab one on their way out to the backyard? Thanks to Make and Takes for sharing this simple and healthy summer snack idea.

Bad idea- huge choking hazard!
^ I was thinking the same thing! Ha!
Not a bad idea depending on the age of the child. Surely there comes an age at which this is okay, right?
For instance, I'm 35 and trying to cut down on sugar. This looks like a great idea to me!
i did this for my son's birthday a couple years back. i didn't freeze them though...

We ate frozen grapes all the time when I was a kid (though I don't think anyone ever thought to make a kebab out of them!) It's a great way to cool off in the summer heat. I wouldn't give them to a small child if you're worried about choking, but I don't think they're any more of a threat for school-aged kids than regular grapes (or anything else that size) are. They're pretty soft when you freeze them because of the water content---a lot like frozen bananas. If you're really worried, though, I bet it would also work well to puree grapes and put them in popsicle molds to end up with a similar result.
I may be a totally paranoid freak, but this looks like a terrifying choking hazard to me.
i do not like that EVERY time there is an idea up here there are always these safety comments... are there really parents outside that are not able to decide upon their kids safety? -.-
not every child is the same - while this might okay for one's careful 4-year-old it could be dangerous for the others' wild 8-year-old.
can't those who have kids old enough just take the idea and those who don't - well, don't... please trust parents, most of the kids are not constantly in mortal danger. (and, a single warning would be enough too, i think...)
please don't hate me, this is just my opinion... ;)
Finja my thoughts exactly...even though you already gave the single duh ppl moment ;)
i think these would be great for my son! he is all about the frozen. he even ate frozen corndog and frozen sweet potato fires!!! i use to eat frozen peas but i never thought about frozen grapes! Thanks!!!
