Shaw's Original Fir...
Man I love this place. Rest assured I would be making an offer if I wasn't unemployed and could qualify for a mortgage!
A picture of the Weber grill? Really?
Half a million dollars for a place that is so small you have to have a Murphy bed? Really?
Back when they were granting $595,000 mortgages to people making $35,000 a year, I would have totally joined the crowd for this place. It's truly a gem.
Also, I'm pretty sure the ability to have an outdoor grill in the middle of Manhattan is worth $595,000. If not more.
Pet peeve: please rotate the photos before posting, it's really distracting, and detracts from the post. You've done a good job with the space that you have, but it would drive me insane to have to rearrange the furniture everyday just to lay my head down.
Lovely space. same here, if I wasn't unemployed and could sell my current place, I would take this in a NY minute!
Stunning. A floor plan and pictures that better show the layout would be helpful. Unless you are including your furniture in the price, I do not need to see your stuff. As someone who is in the market to purchase in NYC - I think we have only begun to see the downturn - so I feel for anyone trying to sell.
Nice little efficient space there.
I love the built-in shelves around the bed.
Question about the bathroom vanity. That looks like an Ikea purchase, how did you configure it to have drawers?
Good luck, Alexis! I am mildly obsessed with the NYC real estate market (I currently own in Jackson Heights, Queens) so I'm sure you'll eventually score a great deal. Have fun!
Just a guess, but Monica is perhaps not a resident of Manhattan? Anyway, that outdoor space is sweet. Looks to be priced right, maybe they'll take 50k less. If this were 4 blocks west it would be a steal.
I think that the price is outrageous for such a small home! Especially in this economy...good like getting the asking price!
Um, yeah, Suzy & Monica? Welcome to NYC.
What a beauty. I'd never move.
And just like the song says: "Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard."
It's a nice place to go to, a better place to leave.
I loved the tours of this home--they did a fantastic job.
I think I have vertigo.
More floorplan please! I cannot figure out how all of that furniture fit into that little space.
a beautiful space well worth the price for the location!
Where is the bathroom vanity from?
I saw this house tour on Small Space Big Style - it's a wonderful use of space and felt much bigger (okay, through TV) than the actual square footage.
You know, I can't believe I'm writing this, but considering the location and the outdoor space, the price really isn't that bad.
hehe. I have the same quail in the window. Gotta love garage sales and a little brass polish. :)
Although 500 square feet is TINY!!
I never understood why this place got so many raves back when it was a contestant. It looks like a doctor's office to me -- and a tiny one at that. I think the price is a rip-off. And, yes, I live in Manhattan.
