Having gorgeous drawer liners is a little bit like wearing really beautiful underwear; other people may not know it's there, but you do, and that's what matters. Here's an inexpensive way to give your dresser (or kitchen, or bathroom, or closet) a little extra pizazz.
Krista loves "all things handmade or old-fashioned" and is the creative force behind the beautifully photographed blog Blue Eyed Yonder. When she wasn't able to find drawer liners she liked, she decided to make her own using fabric, fabric stiffener, ironing spray, and double-sided tape. It's the perfect DIY: a lot of punch for a little cash. And the best thing? Using the double-sided tape makes the fabric removable, so you could even do this in a rental.

I think I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend. I might never close my drawers ever again.

I like this idea. What about using contact paper on top of the fabric so it doesn't get nasty?
I cut pieces of cardboard to fit the drawers, then covered them with quilted fabric. Folded the fabric over the edges and glued them down. They stayed in place and gave the drawers a more finished look.
Great idea!
I use wallpaper remnants which are plentiful at most second hand stores; take inside measurements of drawers, cut paper to fit (two overlapping may be necessary,) iron with a steam iron on "right" side and slide into place.
@EvieM I like your idea! Thanks!
I've used beautiful gift wrapping paper that I've received over the years. It makes me smile when I see it and reminds me of people I love having in my life.
I love this idea! Does anyone know what fabric that is? It's beautiful!
