I love it when I come across genius ideas for wall art that cost next to nothing. Wait! Hold on to those shoe boxes. (Oh, and your toilet paper rolls, too.) It is amazing what you can do with cardboard, paper, a couple of cans of spray paint, and some unleashed creativity.
For the novice DIY-er, project number one is a fail-proof choice. Step one: buy frame. Step two: buy marbled paper. Step three: insert paper in frame. Step four: Bask in your money-saving, home-improving, art-making glory!
I'm currently in between stages in project number five (white paint is drying in the garage) and I can't wait to hang up my $0 chevron wall art. If you are looking to liven up some wall space on a budget, or to re-use before you recycle, here are five great ideas for DIY wall art.

Oh cool, I love free. I'm looking for some ideas for using marbles, as I have hundreds. We pick them (and other stuff) up along the railroad tracks where we walk the dogs and have recently hit the motherlode. Now I just have to figure out a use for them.
I featured what I would consider to be an almost 100% foolproof DIY art inspired by Kate Spade's dinnerware here:

Shoot. I knew I was supposed to be saving those rolls for something.
@mintlovesocialclub - nice. i love it! love that kate spade dinnerware.
Thank you for featuring the "marbled paper as art" project we ran in our fall issue of House of Fifty Magazine. Designer Danielle Oakey did a great job with creating this guest room on a tight budget!
