You don't have to break the bank in order to get some music at your next holiday party. There are plenty of docks and portable speakers that look cool and don't cost a whole lot. Sometimes all you need is a little tech accessory to amplify the built-in speakers on your phone or tablet. You don't have to have a great music library either, just use an app like Pandora, Spotify or iHeartRadio and you're good to go.

White Amplifier ($10): For an inexpensive quick fix, Poppin's White Amplifier works with the original iPhone, iPhone 4 or 4s. The amplifier is made of white silicon and is washable so you don't have to worry about party fouls - just make sure your phone doesn't get spilled on. The amplifier boosts your phone's speaker sound 13x and you don't need additional batteries. You can slip your phone into it either vertically or horizontally and start playing music.

Mickey Speaker ($20): For a cute plug and play option, I love these Mickey Mouse speakers imported from Japan. They come in blue, pink or green and the sound quality is great coming from this little guy.

Mini Dog Speaker: ($24): Probably not the best choice for a huge blowout, but if you're hosting a smaller dinner party, this Mini Dog Speaker could be a really cute addition to your party décor. Plus, it works with any device with a 3.5mm phone jack.

Drop Portable Speaker ($55): I'm a sucker for cute things and this teardrop shaped portable speaker is very cute. You turn the top of the speaker counter clockwise to open it and place your music device or mobile inside. There are control buttons across the front of the speakers so you can switch tracks and adjust the volume. This makes sure your music player is safe if the party gets too rowdy.

JamBox ($299.99): Going into the higher quality and more expensive end, if you want to invest in something with great sound but is still small and portable, Jawbone's JamBox is a good one to look into. It works with any mobile or tablet device. It's completely wireless so you can stream all your music files from any Bluetooth device and control it wirelessly. There are precision-tuned drivers and dual passive bass radiators for amazing sound quality.

You left out bags, I bought a great sequin (black and hot pink) fabulous bag that looks like a large purse with speakers in it. I use it our kid's parties at school...it's wonderful because all you do is hook up the iphone/ipod or mp3 and it's instant music. The bonus is that you can carry all the supplies in the bag-instant party! All of the kids love it too, I heard one girl introduce me as "the lady who has a bag that makes music!"
Yes well said qtcrondesign. I also have one of this its very convient anad handy. Really love it. Thumbs up!
