Easter was a BIG deal in my house growing up, and I love it as a result. Except that one year when my parents took my brother and I on a boat ride after our easter egg hunt at the park. I don't need to tell you what happened on that rocking boat with two kids filled to the brim with candy.
Needless to say, I completely understand the appeal of candy-free baskets. Take a look at some of these great options.
- Felt Carrot from from Felt Food Kids
- Fabric Storage Basket from Alexia Claire
- Pencil Case from Amelia Presents
- Large Ceramic Egg from Rosa Mar Ceramics
- Blue Bunny Zipper Pouch from Blueberry Bandit
- Crochet Rabbit from Rosieok
- Carrot Carved Rubber Stamp from Cupcake Tree

As a member of an admittedly tiny demographic--interfaith families who are seeking Easter bunny goodies that are Kosher for Passover--I appreciate this post tremendously!
This is great! Please post more non-sugar ideas for Easter!
#5 is way too cute...the bunny wallet
As always, a PSA: Please do not buy or adopt real bunnies to put in your candy-free Easter baskets. They do not make good pets for children under 10.
ha! I would be so mad if I got a felt carrot. I used to get a little bit of candy (jelly beans and a choc bunny) but also simple snacks like a small bag of combos or a bag of homemade cookies or a popcorn ball. I loved having my own stash of goodies that I could eat when I wanted to. I would also get some new socks or garden gloves or an umbrella or jump rope/sidewalk chalk or some sort of crafty project or a book... It was a basket full of colorful favorite but inexpensive things...
Great minds. ;-) This is a similar post I wrote from last year. Maybe people will find more ideas here:

Easter was always my favorite as a kid. I would spend hours drawing what I thought my Easter Basket would be like. Seeing all the decorations every year always makes me sentimental.
I don't have any kids yet, but will be making my boyfriend a basket. I'm sure he will be quite surprised!
For my visiting niece and nephew, I just bought egg-shaped/sized sidewalk chalk. 6 eggs in an egg carton for $3 at Old Navy (of all places).
