Just saw this great kitchen idea over on one of the ReadyMade blogs. We love how it is both functional and (we think) kind of stylish in a funky way. We also like that this as an alternative to the uber-popular pegboards that we're seeing everywhere.
Not that we don't love those damn pegboards! They're great.
These gridwall panels, according to ReadyMade, are commonly used in retail displays. We think they're brilliant in the kitchen—an easy way to make the most out of a small space. ReadyMade has source information ... for $26 you can get a pack of 3.
However, we're thinking this might be the sort of thing you could easily find at a good salvage yard.

I really like this, but how is it green?
I think they mean literally green: see the wall color? Oh, and there's a plant. :-)
I'm assuming the salvage yard comment was the "green" component.
We had this in blue when I was a kid in the 80`s. Makes me nostalgic.
Having just about finished a kitchen renovation I wonder if this is green because they used the wire to hang pots on instead of building traditional cabinets? We chose to just paint the real wood cabinets in our kitchen reno and while the work was ongoing I learned to rethink the way a kitchen is used. I've chosen to keep my cutlery on shelves in trays and dishes in a buffet instead of adding more cabinets.
