Life Space Journey is a collaboration between two brothers, Justin and Glenn Lamont. This multi-talented team not only designs furniture; they consult on interior design projects, construction developments and create major paintings. They share a passion for urban development and are interested in redefining the urban dwelling space. Through their various developments they consult on creating responsible footprints and being ecologically sound.
Their range of seating, lighting, tables and objects are modern and functional but with a bit of amusement and whimsey - an interesting combination. Some pieces are sculptural and mathematical, posing the question: “is it art or is it furniture?” This love of creation stemmed from growing up on a farm with an creative, inventive father who made tools and supplies accessible to the two boys. There is a great sense of humor and joy from their furniture collection and a tactile quality that makes the user want to engage with the pieces. Their bespoke furniture designs are locally crafted and use upcycled and locally sourced wood.
Currently their products may be seen at their Melbourne studio and ordered by contacting Life Space Journey directly .

I must be missing the gene that says that anything this far away from "form follows function" can be considered furniture.
I love posts about Australia. I'm living in Sydney at the moment, and I probably won't buy anything because it's expensive as crap, but always nice to stay informed.
