This collection of wood furniture from London-based designer Amy Hunting is made entirely of wood waste and off-cuts from furniture factories in Denmark. Hunting transforms these scraps into stunning pieces that don't use any bolts or screws...

The book box can be used upright or on its side. Multiple units can be stacked for a custom configuration...

The Babooshka Lamps were cut from a single block of solid wood crafted from scraps and off-cuts. They are designed to hang on a bare bulb without needing any special fittings.

Ercol Bar Stool
Interesting concept, but I have to admit...it's kind of ugly to look at. Perhaps some paint would help?
i think it's rather cute... like a quilt of woodgrain!
I love how it looks, but I question (1) the strength of the wood and (2) the eco-friendliness of the adhesives and procedures used to combine the waste wood into useable pieces.
in addition to ChrisopherB's questions I would add: what kind of production value do these pieces have? Can the wood scraps be glued together in a way that is efficient and could be put into production?
