Thanks to Geraldine, we now know about Futopia. She calls it "the ONLY hip, fun houseware/gift store in Greenpoint,Brooklyn," which is *certainly* a mark of distinction. We are just glad when a cool new housewares store sprouts up anywhere.
Futopia started as a card and gift shop, but has become a creative outlet for the owners, who have welcomed in funky, local talent. Housewares, particularly vintage and repro dinnerware, are now a feature and as well as dish towels and other items for the home. It's really all about a very colorful and lively take on vintage.

that's a pretty horrid site. i truly do not understand businesses that create websites designed to frustrate the user's interest in their products. guess they don't want my business.
The greenpoint store is closed, but they are usually at the brooklyn flea.
