Futuristic & Fluorescent Paints: Fluo Fantasy Collection

With names like Supernova, Nano, Flash, Volt, Hightech and UFO you know the Fluo Fantasy colour collection is future forward. Admittedly not for everyone, these trend-casted rooms are unapologetically in your face. But for those of us who are drawn to bold and graphical, the TRON-style rooms may appeal as captivating examples of using colours to create a sense of motion/depth in and across rooms (or just ideal rooms to hang your vintage Nagel painting in).

The fluorescent palettes of the Fluo Fantasy theme was amongst several color combos (collectively the 11th collection, The Ambiance Mix Collection) forecasted by Dutch paint company, AkzoNobe. In general, the colour combinations/hues are heavily skewed toward the colour-progressive European market where bolder use of primaries and even fluorescents are fashionable. Nevertheless, we personally love the vibrancy and contrast of all of these rooms as visual experiments, especially the yellow in the kitchen and the semi-circular graphical application from office into bedroom. Those who love colour, but have softer sensibilities might love this alternative collection that also caught out eyes amongst the rest listed below.

Other collections include themes labeled as HomeMade, Pop Art, Easychic [sic], Au Naturel, Colors of Karma, Wildflowers, Music, Day:Night, Art Nouveau, Secrets du Potager.
