- What I Love About My Small Home:
- It's compact but not cramped, colorful, clean and chic And filled with my favorite things. The best part? It's all mine.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- This was the first place I was purchasing for myself, and I didn't want to buy a "studio." After some thought and consultation, I decided I could create a separate bedroom that didn't look cheesy or reminiscent of a college dorm. I am happy with the solution I landed on — creating "walls" out of luxe fabric.

Where did you get y our living room rug? What fabric did you get for the curtain divider. How did you install it? Did you hire a pro? This is such a great idea. I want to see more photos.
Crisp and clean with nice touches of color. I like it! Where did you purchase your desk chair, if I may ask?
I'm going to second the ask about the rug. I love it.
That rug is the number one reason you're my favorite! Please, tell us where it's from!
yup, must know about the rug!
Thanks for the compliments.
Rug is custom from Jonathan Adler. It was a nightmare to get (very long story) but I do love it. Chair is Norman Cherner—spent way more than I wanted but it was worth it. Got it at Zinc Details in SF (check out their website), one of m y favorite stores.
Little Lulu... as for fabric, I purchased from a great fabric store and then had a professional install. They also made the purple patterned shade for my window (pictured in the shot of the built-in) and matching pillows. Unless you're super handy (I'm not) think it's best to go pro...
Is the coffee table the CB2 one? I have their nesting tables and use the biggest one as a coffee table but a slightly bigger coffee table might be nice but their peekaboo one is only 13.5 inches high - which seems low (my coffee table is also pretty much my computer table, dinner table -- in other words I do everything sitting on my couch at night). Doesn't look so low in the pics but whenever I look at it in CB2....
it's no doubt my fave - great use of color - and it all works so well together!
I absolutely love the shelves above your desk.
Hi, where did you get your red dinning chairs?
Where is the couch from?? Cute place!
My first post :) been a browser for a LONG time but "had" to comment. I LOVE YOUR HOME~!!!
House tour please!
Wonderful use of colour!
(and I would love to know where you got that beautiful sofa... :)
LOVE that sofa.
Is the throw on your bed from CB2? I somehow missed those - is it a new item?
More responses:
Couch: custom fabric from Bo Concept
Kitchen stools: Crate and Barrel
Lucite coffee table and throw: CB2
Love your book displays!
Love everything! Definitely my favorite.
I love your bedding!
Ohh! I love your space. Where did you find the mannequin in the corner? I have been looking for one just like it!
I know you have been bombarded with source requests but I have been looking for a narrow console table for my narrow entryway and I think yours is the most narrow I've seen, can I ask where it is from?
Yeah, and one more source question: quilt on the bed? It's exactly my color scheme.
Part 3 resources...
Narrow entryway console: Room and Board (custom tops and bases in several sizes)
Bedding: Dwell for Target about a year ago
Mannequin: At a boutique that was closing for $50 (score!)
