Growing up on a horse farm, where galvanized tubs were not for decor, I can't say I ever imagined I'd be writing about all their fascinating design possibilities. But hear I am, and to confess, I'm a sucker for almost anything galvanized. So in the spirit of summer, kiddie pools, and beer bottles chilling in metal tubs, here's a bit of visual inspiration for your enjoyment.
Whether your style is farmhouse casual, modern industrial, or beach chic — galvanized metal can be incorporated into just about any decor quite seamlessly. From watering troughs to bathing tubs and wading pools. Planters, ponds and water fountains; the possibilities are endless. And one of the best parts, it's a rather inexpensive material to boot!
Check out this post if your interested in getting your hands on a galvanized container of your own.

Holy frack. I'm so gonna get one of these for my patio. 90 degree New York afternoon with 90% humidity? ... that's alright, im half dunked in my tin bubble bath, headphones in, a guinness in one hand and Elle Decor in the other. Shooot.
I am dying to know how to get the one in picture #1! I love the tub!
#1 is lovely. Although it reminds me of a Viagra commercial... (or is Cyalis)?
@CaliDoctorBison - hahahaha, that's exactly what I was thinking.
I recently saw something (magazine article? book?) that used largish galvanized cattle watering tubs (maybe about 2 feet high and 4-5 feet across) as raised bed gardens. I'm pondering the idea... plant them with a fruit tree in the center, raspberry or bluleberry bushes around that, and strawberry plants on the bottom... Everything would be reasonbly close for harvesting, although you might need a ladder for the tree...
I'd have to have a feed store deliver them, though...
"hear" I am. Argh.
heck yes.
We have a 14' x 3' in the yard, was going to use for a dog pool, but the weirdo dog is afraid of it! Also has some rust in the bottom, though not very deep. What should I do??
