We've recently spotlighted the humble shipping pallet in various DIY iterations: a wall-mounted desk, wine rack, daybed, and even an outdoor hanging chair. Their affordable availability makes shipping pallets, new or used, a perfect DIY canvas for an assortment of projects, such as this upcycled rustic beauty of a desk...
Blogger and photographer, Gannon Burgett upcycled a shipping pallet all by hand (no power sander for this guy), the laborious process taking him 3 weeks to complete. But there's no argument the beautiful finish of the aged wood complements the sleek modernity of his array of tech hardware (his next project: hiding all those wires underneath).
More photos of Gannon's upcycled pallet desk here, with additionally inspiring DIY ideas for pallets listed at this huge collection of projects over at Pinterest.
