A garage is one space you might one day think about converting if you don't own a car. Most every house comes with a garage in some parts of the country. Surely some non-car owners live in some of those houses, and these are a few bits of inspiration for anyone considering a conversion:
How do garage conversions relate to apartments? A garage can be a great space to convert into an apartment for adult children, aging parents, or just to make a little rental income. Even when they don't have lots of windows, they most assuredly have at least one large opening that can be converted into one.

We actually have a 1 car tuck-under garage at basement level (partial walkout) that is now out of commission due to the new 2 car garage we built on the alley. We plan to convert it to a master bedroom with french doors out to our backyard, but for now it is storage as we finish the new garage and the rest of our basement.
