Granted, many of our readers live in apartments to avoid doing their own yardwork. But for the few out there who like to groom their garden—or just want a laugh—check out this lithium ion hedge-trimming device.

Sure, you could use regular hedge trimmers. But those low-tech, mechanical, glorified scissors are missing two things: a safety blade and the ability to collect waste.

The Garden Barber featured a recessed blade, making it less likely you'll seriously injure yourself trimming your foliage. It also ensures that you don't accidentally cut any cords or wires that might get in your way.

But you won't have to worry about cords for the Garden Barber, it's powered by a lithium-ion battery that provides nearly 35 minutes of straight-up hardcore pruning.

But the pièce de résistance has to be the volume collection bag and hose. As soon as you snip the leaves from your overgrown shrubs, they're sucked up into a slung-over-your-shoulder collection bag. It's less messy, and you can re-use the trimmings for mulch or composting.

But garden appliance luxury doesn't come cheap. The Garden Barber will run you $127.
